- Perform Safety Reviews (Lockout Tagout, Hot Work, Fall Protection)

- The Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) Manager will drive world class EHSS performance across the site in a biotech research environment. The role will be responsible for the execution of key EHSS processes including:
- Continuous improvement of the safety program across site
- Trending and analysis of EHSS information and provide data intelligence and actions
- Provide support for projects as part of EHS Design Review, Change Management, etc.
- Provide subject matter expertise for several EHSS programs including Contractor Management, environmental programs, and industrial safety
- Support laboratory clients with input from other EHSS subject matter experts at the site and from within the Company R&D community.
- Partner with clients to advance safety culture and manage EHSS risks
- Analyze metrics and establish annual action plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish and execute risk assessment plans for clients tensure all risks are proactively addressed and control systems are implemented and maintained
- Ensure all changes with potential EHSS impact are assessed and controls are established prior implementation
- Ensure all hazards are identified and risks are proactively assessed
- Establish safe work procedures for hazardous work
- Conduct regular inspections of the work areas
- Bachelors degree & 3 to 5 years of experience in EHSS
- Strong understanding of Chemical and Biological laboratory operations.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry implementing EHSS programs
- Optional - Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Experience implementing and supporting CCD, hazardous gas, warehouse, chemical, biosafety and safety programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence management
- Strong communication and presentation skills, action oriented, self-starting, program development and project management
- Strong technical writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, smart sheets, and other computer software systems
